Being Prepared


Here's a list of things to help prepare you for a good day!

  • Plan how to get to the Festival. See transport options below.

  • Pick a spot to meet your friends before you go in!

  • Charge your phone - your ticket details will be on your phone so it's important it's ready to go!

  • Find your Myki.

  • Your ticket information search for Event Brite in your emails to find your tickets.

  • Your ID - if you think you might be asked to prove you are 18 and over.

  • Money!  EFTPOS is available at all vendors, most vendors will also accept cash, there is no ATM at the event 

  • A picnic rug - there's a nice outside area to relax near the water looking over to the city.

  • A hat and sunscreen, it will be hot so please SLIP, SLOP, SLAP!

  • Baby change items - we don't have baby change facilities at the festival so make sure you bring what you need.

  • A plan when leaving - how will you get home?


Here's things not to bring!

  • If you can, avoid bags as they will be checked on entry and this will slow down getting into the event. 

  • No alcohol, water bottles, soft drinks - These are all provided for at the festival. We will have free drink taps.

  • No illegal Drugs (The Police Station is next door!)

  • Objects that are not deemed to be safe. 

  • Food - unless it's a special dietary requirement or food for infants.

  • No bikes, skateboards or scooters. Prams are allowed.
     

How to get to the Festival

The festival is held at Seaworks, doors open at 11:45am event starts at 12 pm and finishes at 7 pm (last drinks are 6.45pm)

  • By Car - Parking around Waterfront Williamstown like most areas is challenging with many spots 2 hours or paid parking up to 4 hours. There will be a FREE car park open on the corner of Ann St & Aitken St. 

  • Trains & Buses - Buses go past Seaworks and the train station is a comfortable 10 min walk. The closest station is Williamstown Beach (After Williamstown North and Williamstown), as you leave the station head towards Ann St which will take you to Nelson Pl. Visit  Public Transport Victoria website.

  • Taxi's & Uber - The address for drop off is Seaworks, 82 Nelson Place, Williamstown.

  • Ferry - there are Ferries from the City, check times and return journeys at www.williamstownferries.com.au or https://www.stkildaferry.com.au


Entry to the Festival

We will do our very best to get you in quickly but this will help make it faster!

 

  • Entry is the front of Seaworks, 82 Nelson Place, Williamstown.

  • To find your ticket email search for 'Williamstown Heritage Beer and Cider' or  'willybeerfest@buytickets.at'

  • There will be two queues, one for prepaid tickets and one for entry on the day. Our advice is to pre pay your tickets HERE for speed of entry.

  • Have your bags ready for inspection, if possible avoid bringing a bag.

  • Have your ID ready for inspection, this is a licensed event so in some cases we will need to verify your age.

  • Have your phone ready with ticket information on it.

  • If you need to buy tickets have your cash or card ready.

Please be patient we'll get you through as quick as we can but it helps to come early.... .or leave it until a little later e.g. 2pm.

Entry Tickets 


Your General Entry ticket gets you into the festival and lets you enjoy the entertainment and facilities. 

Alcohol can be purchased using
cash, EFTPOS or Credit Cards

Food & Soft drink can be purchased using cash, EFTPOS or Credit Cards. 

Drink Price Details

 

Beer & Cider

  • Tasters start at $2 and a 'pot' glass $6-$10 depending on the Brewer. 

Wine

  • A variety Red & White wines will be available. 

  • Wines will not be served in your 'pot' glass!


Be Safe!

We want to make sure you have a great time and get home safely. Please think about these things before you go:

  • Through the day drink plenty of water, it's free!

  • Make sure you eat.

  • Be aware of the alcohol level of the beers/cider and wine you may consume. 

  • Responsible service of alcohol is practiced at the event and we have the right to refuse anyone we feel is acting unsafe. 

  • Plan how you will get home, check train times or use the Uber & Taxi facilities at the front of the venue.

  • Please respect others and our neighbours when leaving!
